Ho, Ho, Ho, it’s our annual Christmas Brocante market in Albi, and Santa was there to greet us.
Mother nature was kind, offering us a beautiful crisp festive day
The smell of wood smoke and glu-wine wafted around the market to help give that Christmas feel.
The market was a mix of antique stalls and brica-brac [my favourite] as you can get lots of bargains if you’re happy to rummage around in boxes laden with curiosities.
Heres a few photos of what else was on offer.
Have you noticed dodgy blokes with white vans flogging mattress’s at markets etc. In the summer they turned our local market square into a tractor and farm machinery sales area all brand new and shiny. There in amongst these 50,000 euro beast were dodgy geezers and their mattress’s. Imagine the conversation ‘I’ll have the red Massey fergerson and while I’m about shove on a couple of dodgy mattresses from that geezer with dark glasses and camel coat!!

Hi Bruce, funnily enough there are loads of them at our local market. It must be a pain for them having to hump all this mattresses around every market.
