Its July, the weather is amazing and the children have broken up for their summer break, soon France will slow down, if not come to a standstill as everyone takes holidays. But one thing that will be busy is the Apero Concerts at the local vineyards.
This year we welcome a fab little vineyard just outside Cahuzac Sur Vere called Peyres Roses ( you don’t pronounce the last letter of most words, which Kev keeps reminding me of.)
We went to their first concert on Wednesday, the setting was so beautiful on top of a hill surrounded by vines and an amazing sunset was thrown in for good measure.
I loved the rustic seating area they had created using hay bails, logs and old vintage tables and chairs.
The food was provided by a local farmer, the duck was superb, Astrid the owner even baked a stunning chocolate torte which she gave away free to everyone, yummy.
The band were great and uniquely interesting, playing a selection of instrumental pieces and songs they has written themselves.
Here are some photos of our evening.
