After five weeks of no rain and stunning weather Easter Sunday was a day of rain, rain and even more rain, the garden loved it we hated it but hey we can’t complain.
Today Easter Monday started out cloudy and drab but by lunchtime the sun came out to play and after a mad dash to see if Mr Bricolarge was open [we needed plaster for the bathroom] it was closed, but i was lucky as Gam Vert our garden centre was open so i picked up some bits i needed, we headed out for an afternoon in the garden.
Adam, Ian’s son who has come down to plaster their bathroom volunteered to cut the grass on our 1 acre field.
Marion and i had an afternoon of sowing seeds and planting seedlings in our potagère.
And after a hard afternoons work it would be rude not to partake of a little tiffin of Rose.
And what a beautiful sunset to end the day on.
Arghh back to rain, rain, rain tomorrow, Oh well we can’t to many nice days otherwise we wouldn’t appreciate them or would we?
Hi there,
I noticed you had a lovely great woodburner. I’m in Montans, and am having a hell of a time finding someone to deliver good wood. You wouldn’t happen to know someone to recommend? Love your blog been reading since last summer. We arrived October 2013. We’re hoping to build. Thanks in advance.
Hi Dawn
Sorry its taken me ages to reply i have been on holidays, we use a guy that was recombined to us by our mayor but i don’t have his number my partner does and he is one New York at the moment so as soon as i speak to him ill get his contact number for you and message it.
Glad you like the blog, do you have a blog?
How are you finding life here? I see you are not far from us on the other side of Gaillac its such a lovely area and the vineyards are beautiful. My partner Kev speaks fluent French and I’m struggling by with my pigeon French and trying to learn more.
Regards
Phill
